12 Nov 2015

And so 4 years have passed.

So this is it. 4 years have passed since my first appearance to this beautiful place of mess. I kind of failed in this whole “let’s celebrate the anniversary of my blog in style” considering that today is 12th November and the anniversary was yesterday but let’s pretend I planned it exactly like this and I did it on purpose. So yeah folks, on 11. 11. 2011 was this blog created and I can remember it as if it were yesterday when the 14 year old Susan was trying to figure out how this little universe works. I have to admit that it was fun indeed. Took me a good while to get grip of it and I’m still not utterly sure if I mastered all the skills. Actually I’m pretty sure I haven’t but let’s pretend that I’m at least a bit worthy this community.
However this past year and half could be called the proper “dark age” of this blog considering the fact that I was total piece of crap when it came to updating because let’s be honest here… I haven’t been updating at all. But I don’t feel like apologising and explaining myself. It was just period of my life where I neither had the urge nor the inspiration to write here anything. Most of the time I was too busy and had no solid content whatsoever.
So why am I writing this right now? Why even bother? Well dear curious reader (actually I wouldn’t be surprise if nobody was reading this), I think I’m over this “dark age” or to be more specific, I have the need to share my thoughts and feeling with somebody and after all I called this blog “Susan’s diary” and that’s pretty self-explanatory. As you might already know, I’ve started university this year in Prague and now I’m pretty much living on my own.
The fact that I’ve basically started a completely new stage of my life brought me to some new thoughts and ideas. Also I was feeling rather down recently because of the university. I don’t know why, but it makes me feel like crap. So that’s another reason why I want to start writing here again. I think it helps me a lot with getting my mind off these unpleasant things.
So I guess this is it. I’m back and this time for good (I hope so at least). I would like to create a new post every week or so but I don’t want to give out any fixed schedule because as I know myself I would totally fail again. I plan to make this my personal space of letting my thoughts flow freely and I guess that doesn’t require any kind of rules and schedules.
Even though I would love to do all the outfits post and fashion related things as I did before, it’s sadly not possible in this time. I know literally nobody in this big city so that pretty much sums up why I’m not able to create any posts related to this topic. I will try to somehow figure it out though but at least for now, this place will be filled with mostly my rambling about everything and nothing. I think. I mean, I’m not even sure myself so far what will happen with this place. I guess we’ll have to wait for that and trust me, I’m really curious myself how this one will turn out.
And with that I’m done for today. One more time “Happy 4th Birthday, my dearest blog!” and to all of you lovely people, stay perfect. :)

Let The Summer Begin.

Hello everyone. So after tough 2 months of exams and exams only, I can proudly say that I officially graduated from high school with very good results and was accepted to all universities I applied for. To cut it short, I'll be an official student of Charles university in Prague which is for me still a bit unbelievable but I couldn't be happier. Although I still have trouble deciding either to study Chemistry or Biochemistry. I'm gonna have tough times deciding but I still have time until late August because that's the time when I have to go to Prague and officially sign myself up as a college student. Let me just tell you, I'm very excited but scared as hell, too.

And what's gonna happen now? Well as I'm writing this it's only about few hours till I leave Slovakia and start my summer holiday in Germany. With holiday I'm not referring to the relaxing-lying-on-the-beach kinda holiday. (dammit) My very good friend Gabika gave me the opportunity to go with her to Germany and work in a cafe/restaurant thing right on the beach in a lovely city called Cuxhaven. I'm pretty stoked on going there considering I'll get the chance to use german in real life. However I'm also a bit scared but I guess that's completely normal, right? :)

The point of this is that I hope I'll be able to take some photos and update you guys on my german adventure. I would be over the moon if  i made it work. I guess I'll be pretty busy considering I want to make as much money as possible, considering I want to pay this whole trip from it and then also pay my surfing trip to France afterwards and also I need a notebook because let's face it. I would not survive without it in the college.

So not make this post any longer than it already is, I just want to say that this summer is going to be huuuuge and I hope in only the positive way of this word. I promise I'll do my best to keep you guys updated and I know this past year I was total rubbish in blogging but I want to at least try to get back to it this summer. We'll see how this all turns out. Love you loads and stay perfect!
   Susan.
Gonna miss this bunch of nuggets. High school was fun indeed.

That time when I was in Prague writing my exams and then went sightseeing

Missing it already.

Hello everyone! So today you'll see the last post which is winter related. I mean I'm soo up to date! (the sarcasm game here is so real) But there's just too many things going on. Next week i have exams for one of my universities and let me tell you, I'm nervous as hell. I mean I'm learning and preparing for it but still it's gonna be so difficult. Then in 3 weeks I have my school leaving exams part 2 which means in 3 weeks it's an official wrap to my high school years. A bit scary, right?? :)

But to write something about today's post. It's just a bunch of snaps from my winter trips. I'm so grateful for every single day i could spend on the slope doing my stuff. I feel like I improved but it still wasn't as much as i wanted to. But definitely it was much better than last year when i wasn't even snowboarding. So shout out to the winter 2015 for being so wonderful, sunny and good to me. I feel so blessed being able to do this amazing sport which means the world to me.

So just sit comfortably and enjoy some of the wonderful moments I got the chance to experience during my favourite season. Love you all loads and until next time. Have your best one! :)

New Snowboard Gear.

Hello everyone! So as I promised here comes one of my update kinda posts. Today I want to talk about my new snowboard gear. Let's say that this winter I spent a lot of money however I can't be complaining. Was so worth it. :)

I was in a serious need for a proper winter jacket considering for like past three or four years i've been using my brother's one and he was getting really pissed off about it, so it really was time to invest into my new one. And as many people know I'm kind of obsessed with Burton. So after long consideration and hunt I said yes to this blue (oh how unexpected Susan) jacket from Burton and along with it I ordered also this blue (again) beanie. Let's say that it was love on the first sight and i don't plan to finish our relationship any soon. :)

Second, even more exciting purchase was actually present for my 18th Birthday from my parents, however I got it already at the beginning of February. After 8 years of riding my old snowboard it was time for a change and trust me, I spent endless hours looking for the best board. From the very beginning I knew that I wanted to have a Burton board, considering it was my dream for many years now. I had really crucial time picking up the right one, considering now I'm specifying for Freestyle riding and I'm really tall girl and there's not that many tall boards for women. Pity. Finally I ended up getting a men's board which i was really scared about because it's not the same as the women's one. But then I took it to the slope and oh boy, my mind was blown away. It's so perfect, like seriously I'm over the moon. However I have to admit, it's quite hard to do the tunings in the air but I guess that only needs practice.

And along with my new board aka. my new boyfriend, it was necessary to buy also new bindings because the Burton boards use The Channel which is a bit different way of bindings. Too difficult to explain. This situation came really handy considering my old bindings were  well... in really really bad conditions. :) And I think I picked good, once again. :)

Okay so it was really interesting winter. Hopefully this whole upgrade will help me reach my goals and I'll keep on getting better in the freestyle snowboarding and i wish soon, I'll get on the big jumps and perform some sick tricks. :) Best of luck to you all.

Hello Spring.

Hello everyone! Long time since my last post, huh? To be honest with you, there were a lot of things happening at school, university stuff and when i had some free time I tried to spend it with my friends. But Today is the first day of Easter holiday here in Slovakia so I was like, hey, let's write a post on my blog and give you guys a little update on what was going on in my life for past two months.

I will create probably two or three more separate posts which will contain my new snowboard gear (trust me, there's a lot to look at), my snowboarding trips and some new pieces i purchased.

To kick off this post I'll start with probably the most exciting thing from all those i want to tell you about. I'm accepted to my first university! *yay* It's in Brno (Czech republic) on VUT (Brno University of Technology) and the program is Chemistry for Medical Application, which is very exciting. For past three Saturdays I've been attending a chemistry preparatory course in Brno and then I wrote a test which was in my opinion super easy and so i got accepted. Oh and trust me, it feels so good!! :)

Other thing I want to talk about is the fact that on 6th March I turned 18!! So I'm officially in the adult world and to be honest I have really mixed emotions about it. I mean i can now do whatever the hell I want but on the other hand, I still want to be that 8 year old child with no responsibilities and no worries in life. Fun times. :)

I finally have plan for this summer holiday. Only few more things have to be done and I'll go surfing to France for one whole week during the last June week and straight after that I'm going to Germany where I'll spend at least one and a half month working at the beach in a very nice cafe/ restaurant with my friend. I don't know if you can imagine how excited I am. :)

And probably the last big thing i want to include in this rather random post is the fact that at the beginning of March I wrote my school leaving exams from Slovak and let me say, that it was terrible. I don't like Slovak. I use English more often than my mother language so it was really hard for me to write the essay and the actual test was one big piece of bullshit. Sorry for being rude but i can't describe it otherwise. :) Now I have to learn for the second round of the exams which will take place in May but this time it's "speaking part" and i have more subject included. Slovak, chemistry, biology and maybe physics. And also i can't forget about the preparation for my other two university tests. Hardcore time is coming!! :)

So that's all for this post. keep an eye for two winter related posts and one more which will include some of my new goodies. I'm really happy to be back (hopefully) on the track and see you all lovely people soon. Have a nice day!! :)

Ultimate bargain.

Hello everyone! This is just a quick update but i feel like i want to share this with you. The other day i was in Marks&Spencer with my mum, just doing a bit of window shopping as we sometimes do. However, everything changed when we arrived to the sale section of the shop and i found there the most wonderful and most comfortable flannel pj pants. I admit, it was originally meant for men, but you know me already. This boundary never stops me! hah. But the best thing is only to come. The original price was 29€ which is just ridiculously expensive but i bought it for wonderful 4€. I was over the moon because i alway wanted flannel pants but they were always on the pricey side. As i always say, thank god for sales. haha :)

So that's all i have for you today. I know it's a bit odd post, but i really wanted to tell you about this ultimate bargain and if you want, you can go and have a look in your M&S store and maybe they will still have these loves. Seriously i've been living in them ever since i bought them. :)

   Take care.
Susan.

17 Jan 2015

I passed the thing.

Hello everyone! So after one week I finally made myself to write this post. If you red my last post about my 2015 goals, you already know that on 9th January I had my speaking part of German state exams B2 and because it obviously happened one week ago, i'm happy to announce you, that I passed the thing! Whoopdedoo! *three cheers for Susan* :)

But seriously now. I had the listening/ writing/ grammar/ translation exam one month before the speaking and if you pass the writing you are in for the second part. And that consists of 15 conversational themes and 15 "Landeskunde", which is basically countries and their geography/ history/ sights and everything you can think of in this sphere.

All i can say is that I've never ever learned so much in my entire life. It was a good preparation for the university life, because seriously, like whole 4 days before the exam i was learning German and German only and I was going completely crazy. And on Friday, the day of the examination, I was so scared. Like you can't even imagine. I prayed that I wouldn't pick History of Germany or specific cities or tourism. Luckily I got Bratislava (capital of Slovakia) and Ways of communication, which was really fine because there weren't so many terrific words and it wasn't that difficult to have a nice conversation with the examiners.

So to sum it up, I'm super happy and I finally have the paper that I can speak German. hah :) The evening I of course, celebrated with my amazing friend Suez. Few beers were totally essential and we just had a very nice chat evening, which was very cool because that day was kind of hard for me because of thing that happened exactly one year ago. But let's not talk about it, now. :)

Have a super wonderful weekend and take care. :)
Susan.

First goal of my 2015 is accomplished and another one is already in progress. So stay tuned for the news.

2015 Goals.

Hello everyone and Happy New Year to you all. So the 2015 is here and i have to admit that this year is definitely gonna be the most exciting one of my life. In all ways. There's a bunch of cool and also terrifying stuff awaiting me and i want to get the most out of it. So I decided to write down few of my goals from which a big part is super probable to happen and I'm freaking out only thinking about them. So let's kick off this year with some good attitude and positive energy, so that it will last until the last December day. But that's still hella a lot of time. :)
Have a good one, guys! :)
Susan.
· Pass state exams: on 9th January is my speaking and last part of German state exams B2 and i'm seriously freaking the freak out because it's so difficult and terrible and i'm really not sure about myself anymore. Fingers crossed!

· Graduate: As you already know this is my last year of high school which naturally means i have my graduation. In March it's (luckily for me only) Slovak *self five* but that's scary anyway. And then in May the speaking part where i have Slovak, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. *facepalm*

· Get to the collage: Yep, next school year my university life officially starts and even though i'm excited as hell it's kind of also scary. However first i need to be accepted on one, and that's gonna be "fun".

 · Go to the Alps: My biggest dream ever is to go shred the beautiful slopes of Alps and hit the snowparks there. However i don't feel very positive about this one. *sigh* But once i'll get there. I promise myself!

· Freestyle Snowboarding: You might now, that i'm all about jumping on my snowboard. But this year I want to bring my snowboarding skills to a brand new level because i really want to improve and learn some cool heavy tricks. Hopefully I won't kill myself and there will be enough snow for our (shitty) Slovak snowparks.

· Buy a new snowboard: Let's face this. I really need a new board because my oldie is like 7 years old (I think). And this time i'm reaching really high. I want to get my all time favourite.. *drums* Burton!! Even though they are ridiculously expensive... Well, thank God sales exist, right!??

 · Summer job in Germany: As you've already noticed, i'm in serious need for money. So i want to fulfill my ultimate dream and go to Germany, which is a total mind blowing thing for me and find there a proper summer job to make some cash for all the stuff i wan to do. And until now it looks really good so hopefully nothing will mess up.

 · Go surfing to France: This is dependent on the Germany because if i have the money, i'll go surfing to France. Which is total dream. Like I'm riding snowboard and skateboard. So it's totally acceptable to start with surfing. One week full of fun, waves and fun again. Hell yeah!!

· 18th Birthday: I think this is pretty self explanatory, so i'll leave it there. (6th March!!)

· Get a tattoo: Whoo!! I admit, this came really out of the blue for you but I've been dreaming about making this for ages. My parents are fine with that so now i only have to draw find something cool as hell and just do it. (And of course save the money. This is going crazy!)

· Get my ear pierced and/or get a plug/ ear expander: Jest let this sink in... *giggles*

 · Find a boyfriend (finally!!): Yes, i said it and hell I'm gonna finally reach this in 2015. I feel positive about this one. (Actually who am i kidding. This is gonna be harder than the freaking graduation.)

 · Read loads and loads of book: Because why not? Books are cool.

 · Carry on learning languages: Start attending C2 English course, keep on working on my German and get back to French. (college life, i'm coming!)

 · Be active: Just do some exercises every day, because hey, it's good for your body. :)

Be The Best Version of You!
